Swiping Between Screens

Hi everyone, I'm new App Inventor. I'm working on a new app, and rather than create a back button, is there an easy way to move back and forth between screens using a touchscreen finger swipe? I cannot insert a canvas because (I think) I cannot put any of my other items (buttons, labels, etc) on top of the canvas. Thanks! James
