How do I use "make text" in new version?

Hi
I am new here and trying to do this application Where is My car, using this link - https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=RiJMrNF0itQ&feature=youtu.be
This vid was made on an old version and it looks different.
I got to a point that the teacher is using "Make text" - see minute 8:24 in this vid
Unfortunately I can't find this function in the new version.
Can some one please gide me?
