to modify the manifest, you can use a thrird party tool like ApkModder or AppToMarket

for AppToMarket, you have to do some manual modifications, because the latest version is a little bit outdated... @Anke might want to explain, what exactly needs to be done

Yes, I use APK Editor Studio or AppToMarket.
With the latter, however, some adjustments have to be made for it to work, since the current version (AppToMarket v4.1) is outdated (you have to update the apktool).

The use of APK Editor Studio is therefore probably easier for inexperienced users.
