Hosting Online Lessons with MIT App Inventor

Hello everyone,

I’m a Computer Engineering student at UTFPR in Brazil, as well as a representative of a local Nikkei student community.

Our community is planning to host a free online beginner workshop in Portuguese, introducing people of all ages to mobile development using MIT App Inventor. The idea is to use App Inventor's accessibility and visual programming environment to teach basic programming concepts and spark interest in computer science.

I had previously sent an email to the MIT App Inventor team but haven't received a reply yet, so I thought it might be helpful to reach out here in the community forum for support or guidance. I would greatly appreciate any help regarding the following:

  1. Partnership/Support: Is there a way to officially collaborate with the MIT App Inventor team, or to use the branding/logo in the workshop materials? Could we be listed or mentioned as an initiative on the App Inventor site?
  2. Certificates: Are there any official certificates of completion/participation that can be provided to students? Or are there templates we could adapt while giving proper credit?
  3. Instructor Requirements: I will be leading the workshop as an undergraduate student. Are there any formal qualifications or guidelines for instructors that I should be aware of?

We are very excited about this opportunity to share programming knowledge and empower new learners through App Inventor. Any tips, experiences, or directions from the community or moderators would mean a lot to us!
