Hopefully a simple question re testing an app for IOS suitability & performance

I've developed some apps using MIT App Inv that work fine for Android. I'm very happy with them and hope to publish soonest.

Want to test that these will work on IOS for publishing on App Store.

Do I need to get an Apple/IOS developer licence just to submit app for testing on IOS or what?

Thanks

Nige

It depends on what components you have used in your app. Extensions are generally not supported other than the extensions developed by MIT. Otherwise, the coverage here can give you a good sense. Regardless, we highly recommend that you test your project on an iOS device to determine whether your app works well.

Yes. Our instructions for publishing an app either to TestFlight or the App Store require a valid Apple developer license.

Thanks Evan. My apps do not use any extensions - I just keep to the MIT App Inv standard elements.

From my testing using the companion it looks as if it would make sense to have 2 versions of an app, one for Android (effectively the Control) and t'other for IOS. Apologies if that is 'your' recommendation and I've missed it.

Basic formatting/layout that works on An doesn't seem to work on IOS. I have an Iphone 11.

Onwards..........
