Hello everyone,

ai2-test has been updated with the following changes. We are still deciding whether to make the next release a component or non-component release, so we will announce that at a latter time. For now, assume it will be a component release. There is an updated companion you will have to install from the test server for component-related changes.

Non-component Release Changes:

  • Add @UsesFeatures annotation to update the Android manifest (@JEWEL)
  • Add a flag to make the splash screen mandatory (only intended for test deployments)
  • Add support for teacher portals
  • Add labels to the Provider and Model helper blocks to make them easier to differentiate
  • Add support for assets and JNI native libraries (@JEWEL)
  • Remove unsupported dependencies
  • Clean up some unused server side storage APIs

Component Release Changes:

  • Change edge-to-edge screen handling on Android 15+

These problems remain unchanged (tested on Android 16, APK):

  1. Status bar and Navbar issue after the targetSdk 35 update on (probably) all Android versions

  2. ListPicker - Status bar issue on Android 16 (probably on Android 15+)
