Help test nb200b

 sounds par for the course...

It seems to be a true bug in the UI, and it has been assigned to AI2 developers.
Let's wait fo their evaluation.

I took a video to capture what happened, but the video is 8 MB. In order to capture the entire incident, there was a lot. I will try to break it down into 2 or 3 videos to follow.
This first video shows what is left in the block area. Note the absence of procedures and variable.

This one shows what ended up in the backpack. (I did not put them there) A brief examination shows me there are several doubles, and some of the brown blocks still remain on the block arena.

This is weird, it is not responding now, but when I opened up the dustbin before, I found about 25 blocks, some of which were copies of blocks in the block arena, some of which just were deleted.

Lesson here is; make loads and loads of checkpoints. From even a simple coding aspect, this is a nightmare. This would be like stumbling and dropping 300 punch cards in the wind. :face_with_spiral_eyes:

the question will be: what was i doing. I right clicked on a defunct variable get block and clicked on Delete.

My recollection is that this has always been the case. I can understand the argument though for retaining the collapsed state when blocks are moved to the backpack and it seems somewhat reasonable to implement that.

it certainly would make it easier to utilize, wouldn't it. Can the name changing incident be rectified too?

Yes I am looking into why that is happening.

Just a curiosity really. I noticed that when I open a ListPicker, there is a big banner across the top that boldly says "MIT AI2 Companion". Is that recent? Or have I just been missing that over the last few years...?
Hmm. NM, I just realized it falls under 'Title" property.
