Hi everyone! :waving_hand:

My name is Saharsh Bhartiya, and I'm excited to begin contributing to MIT App Inventor as part of my GSoC 2026 journey.

I have experience in Java development, and I'm drawn to App Inventor's mission of making app creation accessible to everyone.

I've gone through the contributor guide and GitHub README, and I'm currently setting up my local development environment by following the build instructions. I plan to explore the "Help Wanted" issues on GitHub and submit a small fix before the proposal deadline.

I'm interested in the Trainable ChatBot Interface project idea. I'd love any guidance from mentors on the best first issue to tackle and whether there's a preferred area of the codebase for beginners to start with.

Update: I've submitted PR #3850 (Fixes #3638) — it adds iOS and
Android split popup for the Companion Information dialog. I'll be
proposing improvements to App Inventor's cross-platform UI/UX
experience for GSoC 2026. Looking forward to mentor feedback!
