My name is Lucas Demuliere and I am a Data and AI engineering student. I am highly interested in applying for GSoC 2026 with MIT App Inventor, specifically for the "Trainable ChatBot interface and AI component" project.
I started contributing to open-source projects, most notably by addressing issues on the Pytorch repository. Given my academic background and current focus, the challenge of integrating RAG pipelines and Small Language Models (SLMs) to build a customizable chatbot for mobile apps aligns perfectly with my skills and interests.
I am currently setting up the App Inventor development environment to start working on a "help wanted" issue. While I do that, I would love to start a discussion about the project's technical scope. Do you have specific SLMs in mind for this integration, or would exploring options be part of the proposal phase?
