Front facing phone light?

howdy, I was curious if there was a way to turn on the front facing light on a phone.
Like the light towards you if you were going to take a selfie.
stupid reason - im reading in RPM and programmed in an adjustable shift light.
I have flashers on screen, but hard to see in the day. would like to use the phone light facing the user.

also, is there a way to know when the user doesnt have their app on screen?
like they havent closed it, but they arent looking at it?

I take it neither of these things are attainable?

I'm not aware of any phones that have a front-facing light; enabling flash on selfie mode will turn the screen's brightness to the maximum and display a white screen for a few seconds (to emulate that flash on the rear) on most phones.
