I basically added 14 photos to a global variable. Now I'd like a random photo to be chosen every time I open my app. Is that possible?

Put them into a list and use the random item from list block

Do you want a random pick from 14 each time you start the app, or to discard previously picked images so that you see all 14 different images (randomly) before starting again ?
Also "open the app" assumes the app was closed, or do you mean app was "resumed" ?
