"Do It" greyed out

In the "Enginerring and Debugging" chapter 15 of the AI2 book "Create Your Own Android Apps" is states:
"Right-click any block and choose Do It; the block will be performed."

But when I do this the "Do It" is greyed out?

It only works when companion is connected

I am using the companion to connect via QR code when I install the App. Is that what you mean?

There is difference between install app or test through companion you can just click on connect and below companion option and acan through your companion app
