Difference between gwt.css and ya.css

Hello everyone. There are two CSS files in the sources gwt.css and ya.css. Can anyone please describe what is the basic difference between these two. There should be a reason for being two separate files.

gwt.css is the CSS for Google Web Toolkit components and comes from the GWT distribution. Ya.css contains App Inventor specific styles that get applied in place of or in addition to the GWT styles. They are kept separate so that we can update the gwt.css file separately from our own styles.
