Csv to list gives a lot of double quotation marks ( " )

Hi,
I have made a google sheet with a lot of sentences in the first column and changing into CSV to make it a list and pick a random item from that list
that works but is giving these double quotation marks at the end

In this image my sentence was Say "Thanks for thinking of me but, unfortunately I can't make it" instead of saying "No"
But it adds [" at the start and a lot of double quotation marks at the end

can someone help me

First off, try deleting all the empty columns to the right of your column with data.

Thanks that did the trick, anyway to remove [" and "] at the ends

If it is a list, then select item 1 from that list
