Could not find an application record with bundleId: appinventor.ai-USERNAME.ESP

When I try to upload to Apple App store, I get the following error.

Could not find an application record with bundleId: appinventor.ai-USERNAME.ESP.

where USERNAME is replaced with the first part of my email adress and ESP is my project name.

Could it be Because of the period(.) that app inventor is including at the end of the bundleId name?

Did you create an app entry in App Store Connect and associate it with your bundle ID? This manual step is necessary before App Inventor can upload any builds of your app to App Store Connect.
