Do your Blocks look anything like what is shown?
What version of Android are you using (with Android 10 or 11 you might need additional advice because of changes Google made to it operating system)

It appears the support for the Camera is broken in nb187 @ewpatton. I can get the Camera to save to a TinyDB if DefaultFileScope is set to Legacy, Shared or App . The Camera writes to its default file:///storage/emulated/0/Pictures/app_inventor_1632356829923.jpg but will not load with an old example file. However after manipulating the old code, it does work.
set Image1.Picture to file:///storage/emulated/0/Pictures/app_inventor_1632356829923.jpg works to read the default camera folder. 
It would really help if you provided a screenshot of your relevant blocks, so we can see what you are trying to do, and where the problem may be.
To get an image of your blocks, right click in the Blocks Editor and select "Download Blocks as Image". You might want to use an image editor to crop etc. if required. Then post it here in the community.
