  • you can program an app using OpenStreetMap tiles using Blocks with a native control. Simple and easy to use and is free. Has a control (Navigation) to display routes and provide turn by turn
directions. Maps are generally less detailed than Google Map Tiles.
  • you can program an app using Google Map tiles using the Google Static Map api which is less intuitive, Required registration of Map api with Google. Requires Google's Distance api to plot routes.
  • you can program an app using Bing (Microsoft's map api) with less control using an api or using an extension [FREE] BingMap extension requires registration with Bing.

MIT's map controls are the easiest to use and build an app that uses Markers and Map tiles.
