Away from app, then come back?

if a user navigates away from the app, but the app is still open -
is there a way of knowing the user came back to the app automatically at all?

thanks for the advice, just a sensor resolution thing where I could dump a data buffer upon return instead of the data rapid firing across the screen till the buffer is caught up (this happens because app inventor doesnt seem to run in the background, which isnt a problem in this case)

Try the ActivityChanged event from the tools extension
