It is possible to modify an App Inventor Android App to an Apple iOS App but the Apple platform has some limitations - the most annoying being that extensions cannot be used.

In terms of what it means to the platform, .apk & .aab = Android, .ipa = iOS
However, whilst Android Apps can include code extensions, iOS Apps cannot.
