when I click on a project the designer shows another project's components when I click blocks the components tab just disappears and the blocks pop out from the other side but I cant drag the blocks out and the phone is still there
It is really hard to help you with so little information. Do you have multiple tabs open in the browser with App Inventor. What browser, Operating System, etc etc.
How large is your project? What devices are you using?
Also, is it one of those rigged tutorials?
