I am running into a weird issue. I have no problem when building the app into my cloud, but when I am trying to download my apk on my phone an issue occurs. The issue is when download the apk and select the installer that I want and click run, the process disappears like I never tried to install an apk in the first case. apk from other sources are installing fine, like the apk for the simulation on the phone installs fine, but the built apk that I made doesn't. Am I missing something?

I have also experienced this in the past. It seems as though closing Chrome completely and then scanning the code in the App Inventor companion. You may also consider installing the companion from our website (found under Help > Companion Information), which can initiate the installation directly rather than going through Chrome.

So I do have the companion app on my phone already and it is able to connect and test the app, but there is no option to directly download the apk from the companion app on the phone. The options are only to stop running the sim, about the app and settings, but when i click on the setting, nothing happens, so I am somewhat confused and frustrated.
On your phone, click this link to download the version of the companion from the website.
It should be downloaded to your Downloads section, which may be accessed either through an app called Downloads or Files.
Install the APK to get this enhanced version of the companion.
Once you've done that, build your APK file on the website using the Build > App ( provide QR code for .apk ) and then scan the code that appears once the APK has built.
