My phone updated to Android 17 overnight (or updated Android 17).
I could no longer connect with the companion app (stops at 20%, then disconnects)
On my phone I went into
Settings > System > Reset options > Reset mobile network settings
and pressed
Reset settings
Tried Companion app again, and all was well, connected up as before.
(For info, this on a Google Pixel 8a running GrapheneOS)

I have Android 17 (Google's version) on my Pixel 9a since the day it was released. Until now no problems with connecting to the companion.
