Am I using clock component correctly?

I'm using the switch and clock component to send my location via text message every 3 min. The problem is when I turn the switch off/false it still keeps sending the data every 3 minutes.
Also in the designer, I have timeralwaysfires and timer enabled boxes checked.

Use SwitchOn not SwitchEnabled
