None of my projects are showing up on the "My Project" page. Even the Trash page is empty. Please help.
Have you signed in to AppInventor with a different email address, or are you using a different server ?
Hi,
We've just had the same issue: my daughter logged in with the correct Google account number but the project list was empty and the trash bin too.
Is there a way to recover a previous version of the list of projects she had associated to her account?
I think this has to do with how app Inventor got an update recently, Any non device stored protects were probably lost. Or she could have not saved her projects and closed the app. Though it is probably the update.
Which AppInventor server are you using, ai2 or code ?
What method are you using to sign in with ? "Google Account Number doesn't sound correct ?
App Inventor's last update was in January, and projects are never stored on the device. Neither of these explain the behavior. Usually this is due to two different Google accounts getting merged since we key off of the email address reported by the Google account.
I was able to store on my device... and I saw an update. I might have been wrong. I'm sorry for any trouble I caused. I was just trying to help. I guess this means that I should not be so quick to respond without double checking. I'm not as experienced as others.
Don't worry,
the aim at helping is always appreciated, This forum exists fot that purpose, indeed.
As far as the specific issue is concerned, what we often suggest, since the applications' source code isn't stored on own device, is to save an aia whenever you're confident that a certain version is stable. Sometimes it could also be useful to store many versions of the same aia (i.e. myapp01.aia; myapp02.aia,...but not so many otherwise you can fall into a mess ), each one can be a baseline from which you can evolve your app.
The backup (the aias) can save:
- your work
- your time
- your money
- your life...
Best wishes.
