A problem with running the app while the phone;s screen is shut down

Hey!
I have an app that works fine. It connects to an ESP32 via Bluetooth and receives data.
The problem I face is that when my phone's screen is shut down/ not active or whatever you call it, the app crashes. I want to note that I already built the app and installed it on my phone.

I added the blocks below, can someone please help me figure out how to prevent the app from crashing?

Appinventor apps cannot run in background.
If you have a clock, it stops fireing, the app just stops when the screen is "off" or when other app is running on the front plan.
