6 digit code not displayed next to QR code

Previously I had no problems in using the QR code or the 6-digit code, but now:

  • the 6 digit code doesn't appear anymore next to the QR code (see screenshot)
  • scanning the QR code crashes the companion app.
  • when trying to install the downloaded apk file, android phone displays error message "There was a problem parsing the package".

I'm testing this on a project that worked previously for all 3 methods described above. Help appreciated.

You have built your app! That is not what you want. Try generating a QR code to connect companion.
