My programming emphasis has been work with databases for UCSF (ongoing contract, Microsoft Access/VBA), but my main interest is with Java applications and Java backend, with an emphasis on music and sound related applications (e.g., AudioCue library, Maven). I've been using vanilla JavaScript with HTML/CSS for front ends, and spent some time with Android Studio, working the Android tutorials. In many ways I prefer the MIT AI with its snap-together parts, seems quicker and more fun for Apps that aren't too complicated.
