You are right. To keep things simple, follow my instructions.
Execute the app as : YOUR GOOGLE ACCOUNT (the one you use to create the script)
If you set it to "User accessing the web app", Google will try to ask the user to authenticate, which they won't be able to easily do inside the app.

One question more : if I give the app to frinds of mine they will be able to run it because the script is running under my profile. Am I right ?
