Tool similar Google Translate's Tap to Translate function

Hey folks!

Wondering if there's a way to make the app work similarly as the Tap to Translate function in Google Translate?

  1. Select an English word or phrase on any app (e.g. browser).
  2. View a synonym [using an API like https://dictionaryapi.dev/].
  3. Save the Word in a list (f.e. add as favorite).

I only understand that this relates to Drawing Over Other Apps, but that's as far as my knowledge goes...

The goal is allow user to look up a synonym of a word & save it without leaving their original app. Then review those words & synonyms later within app, but that part I could figure out.
