Retrieve text from world time API [web viewer]

Is there anyway to get text from external link?
I’m trying to get internet time from here.
http://worldtimeapi.org/api/timezone/Asia/Manila.txt

It doesn’t work. I always get “undefined” everytime I try to click button.
Am I missing something?
