Which upgrade? nb187 . It apparently was working fast with the initial upgrade until handling back spacing/clearing 'fixed' .
Perhaps Preet has a way to increase filter speed to what it was for nb187. Good luck @preetvadaliya

The original release of the Recyclerview redesign of ListView had filtering bugs that directly relate to performance. That's the backspace/clearing bug you're referring to. Before that bug was fixed, filter results may have been fast, but after a filter string that returned 0 rows or a backspace, the results were inaccurate.
Well in this case, it will be difficult to find a solution.to this day, i can't update my apk into the playstore.
