When this issue came up previously we had some back and forth internally about how to handle it but it was never fully resolved. I originally had implemented a draft of an IgnoreSslError flag similar to what the WebViewer provides, but the only reason we did that for WebViewer was due to the fact that it wasn't possible to specify alternative root certificates.
