So that you are aware, the test server is for testing new features and bug fixes, it is not meant to be used as you main development server. Good news is that the next release n188 (based on what is in the test server is soon to be released, then you will be able to revert to ai2.appinventor.
Oh okay. I'm currently on the ai2.appinventor. and I tried running the code on the companion app and it works fine!
The IOS still has the problem, but the android version works fine.
If you still have the new companion app from the test server, then it may be that fixes a few things.

How do I I update it on an IOS device?
I believe the ios companion is running on a different timeline/build structure.
