On Huawei's bypass claim, the platform enforcement point in my earlier reply is the direct refutation. Android rejects SmsManager calls at the system service layer without SEND_SMS in the manifest, regardless of what bytecode the APK contains. For Oscar's appeal, that point plus the manifest evidence and the open source runtime pointer in my earlier paragraphs are the actionable path. I hope this helps with the Huawei follow up, Oscar.

There is a solution, according to Mr Evan.
Another point: If this occurs on all the applications built with MIT, then there are no apps at the Huawei App Gallery. My app doesn't have send_sms, and it gets rejected; then the ones with it are rejected as well. But if there are apps in their gallery built with MIT, then those developers did something to bypass the Huawei rejection point, and no one is telling. Am I the only one with this issue? No, I have done searches, and this has been happening for a while.
