How do you make an extension?

I'm trying to create an extension for App Inventor, but I'm having trouble. I tried using Niotron, but it seems that the IDE is down. And I'm having trouble using Rush. Could someone help me?

I suggest you to use the new extension builder FAST-CLI which is easier and simpler.
