How do you increase WIFI or Bluetooth range?

Hi there
some apps like firechat which works using Bluetooth have a range of 70 meters
So how can I do the same ? is there a library or an extension for that ?
because I’m working on an offline chatting app

What you want to do is hardware dependant, not software dependant,
