Firebase how data is stored

I wonder if somebody can help me.
When I store a data to a Firebase database, MIT App add some additional characters for instance if I want to store a value cero 0, it appear like: ""0""
If I store a bolean it appear like: "false" or true with those additional "".
I am pretending to integrate same Firebase for a IOT with Mit App and a raspberry with python , however both write different agains database, seems like MIT App add those additional Charaters, is there any way to get ride of those additional chars and the Firebase update without them througg MIT App?
