Entire App Running In Background (or Foreground)

If you just want the app to 'run' while you are using other apps on your device you could consider one of these options to use the CloudDB. Yes, FREE !

just saw that

it looks like it works

hmm... whats that thing at the bottom left part of the screen that says KIO4 location sensor doing there... hmm

ahem. anyways

It is an example using an alternative 3rd party LocationSensor. There are aia's that use the native LocationSensor and one using an html method of determining location.
You don't have to use Antonio's alternative.

so does it do the same thing as the other one that @Taifun mentoned?

No, his extension runs in the Background, these run in the Foreground. Read the explanation about how it works in the tutorial text.

whats the difference?

whoops my email is in there

Thanks A LOT!!!!

also I would like to send push notifications to my users. Is that possible?

I don't know.

might work. When you get it working, please tell us how? :slightly_smiling_face: I don't believe the OneSignal service is free but the extension to link is probably not.

If the CloudDB app is provided to all users, they can see what you see for free when their app is on.

yea idk what i'm doing

i kinda ment like if a condition is met in the app, send a notification

sure, use the SignalOne extension and send a notification or once you know what your doing can provide a notification within the app using the CloudDB to all users or if you are clever and one to add a bunch of code to only a specific user.

wait.. i think im on to something with the onesignalpush thing

nope failed
