Error sending project to the Gallery

Yes, the gallery will not accept projects with extensions, for security reasons. You can place your project in the App Showcase section here on the forum instead (except if you have any [PAID] extensions on board)

Yes, you can post it in the #app-showcase category (on the community)

If you want to share your project with everyone who uses App Inventor, you can upload your app on the Gallery. (But with this your code too will be visible)
