I have no experience with the HM-19.
So i just can guess...
You should tell the HM-19 (with AT command?) that you want a MTU Size of 253bytes
And on the phone you should do a MTU request
should work in both directions

can you show me how you use the Request MTU in your blocks?

i'am doing the same,
in connected block i call the request

but there where some bugs....
registerforstrings (i used register forbytes) cant be called in connected block

i'am starting a timer in connected block. And with the timer i register to the charateristics one by one every second

and i had the problem with sendstrings that i had a limit of 23bytes (from phone to device)
everything else (also sendbytes) worked with the MTU size of 517
