app inventor it doesn't work, I can't debug or even create the app, and the emulator doesn't work either. Why?

Both live development using the Companion and the emulator do work. Tested a minute ago.
MIT experienced a server hardware issue about five days ago and is attempting to restore full service. In the mean while, MIT is using alternative servers that are a bit glitchy and require using workaround methods described AI Companion fails at 20% loading.
Most developers can use the Companion to connect and debug IF THEY tick the Use Legacy Connection on the device Companion screen before attempting to connect
Does that work? If not please tell us more about your issue and someone can recommend a specific solution and get you connected using the temporary server.
