Hello, I am new here. I have been looking for a way for APP Inventor to handle .xls, .xlsx files search loaded spreadsheets and return values. but the only way i can see to do it is when selecting the file using filepicker, converting to binary file and return the content as a utf-8 text string. i have been looking for a block which would allow this like a “ReadASBase64” but this doesnt seem to be available - any help would be appreciated.
You can't export the sheets as CSV files?
the reports get generated into .xls no option to change to CSV . will just saving as CSV file work ?
And does this work? Do you see the content of the cells?
Please attach an example file so we can take a look.

The readasbase64 could help only if the file is encoded base64…
