How do I make scrollable textbox?

Hi everyone how to make scroll able text box? Thank you

Check Multiline in Designer

I have checked multiline option but when the text is very long is stucked can not see the bottom text

Is your screen set to scrollable ?

Are you editing the text in the textbox ?

The screen not set to scroll able.

The text box set to read only

Hmmm, when set to Read Only it doesn't scroll, can't remember if this was always the case or if a bug has crept in. Will report up.

An alternative you can try is to use a vertical scrolling arrangement (VSA) and a label:

  1. Drag out a VSA. Set with to fill parent and height, to say, 30%
  2. Drag a label into the VSA.
  3. Set your text to the Label
  4. If the text overflows the height of the VSA then it will scroll

Hmmm let me try. Thank you

Android or iOS? I tested it on Android 17. No issue with a very long text.

and with read only checked ?

Not scrollable.

Nah with read only checked, the textbox not scrollable

Put it in a vertical scroll arrangement (Height = automatic).

On Screen put a vertical scroll arrangement for your textbox set its height to 10% (or whatever you want), put a textbox into it, set textbox multiline to true.

It works now. Thank you all

And if you wanted to use the TextBox directly for some reason, that is also possible, but using an extension that disables text editing (without needing to set ReadOnly = true).

And if MIT accepts my fix in the source, it will work natively. Because currently, ReadOnly works as well as Enabled, which is nonsense.
