I encountered an error when creating a dot apk file on a link containing ai2a.I encountered an error creating an .apk file at the link containing ai2a, while the same .aia file I created was a different file The .apk file in the link starts with AI2 doesn't have errors. Is there a way to create an .apk file in AI2a without errors in the application?
Hmm, how do you get there? For me, this link redirects to https://ai2.appinventor.mit.edu/.
It seems MIT is directing recent account creators to the ai2a link. But it seems like ai2a is too new and it has many bugs. Do you know where to submit bug reports so MIT can read and fix them? Thanks
This board, under the bugs topic.
Be sure you have updated your Companion to the bugfix version, this month.
Use this to get to the Project List
Note that the software that runs ai2 is the same as ai2a. The difference is how they store data internally. But the App Inventor system itself is the same.
Is there any way for my new Gmail account to access the old URL, Is it the path ai2, not ai2a? I'm certain it's the same .aia file, but exporting the APK file to the ai2a path results in an application error, while ai2 works without errors.
I can access the ai2 link normally, only ai2a is giving an error.
So why are you fooling around with an ai2a link?
Yes, I have an old account and it works normally, I can access the AI2 link, but I'm afraid that if I lose my old account later and have to create a new Gmail account, I won't be able to access the old AI2 link anymore.
I advise you to export all your projects' aia files, and keep them somewhere backed up.
That will protect you in the future.
I never finish a development session without having done an aia export to one of my cloud shares.
Thanks
