Can't migrate from legacy to ai2a

Hello,

My MIT App Inventor account appears to have failed to migrate to the new ai2a infrastructure.

When I go to:

https://ai2a.appinventor.mit.edu/

I am automatically redirected to:

https://legacy.appinventor.mit.edu/

When I try to build an APK, I get:

"Build failed! Build server responded with response code 500."

I have also tried logging out and logging in again, but the account continues to be redirected to the legacy server.

Could you please reset my account migration so that it can be migrated again to the new ai2a infrastructure?

Thank you.

I have not the redirect link. Try to clean your browser cache.

i can`t control the migration but clear your browser cache or use a different browser or continue using another account if possible. i hope this can help

I have just tested this with another Google account on the same computer, using the same browser and the same network.

The other account works correctly and enters the new ai2a server without being redirected.

However, my account is still automatically redirected from:

https://ai2a.appinventor.mit.edu/

to:

https://legacy.appinventor.mit.edu/

Therefore, this is definitely not a browser cache, browser, computer, or network problem.

It appears to be specific to my App Inventor account.

Could someone from the MIT App Inventor team please check the migration status of my account and reset/restart the migration to the ai2a infrastructure?

My account currently cannot compile APKs because the legacy server returns:

"Build failed! Build server responded with response code 500."

Thank you for your help.

This usually indicates an issue with retrieving the assets of one or more projects during migration. We can investigate on our end.

Could this problem be solved by exporting/downloading backup copies of all my projects, deleting my current App Inventor account, and then creating a new account and importing the projects into it?

I have existing projects that I need to preserve, so before doing anything I would like to know:

  1. Is it safe to delete the current account after downloading the .aia files?

  2. Would creating a new account allow me to use the new ai2a infrastructure correctly?

  3. Would importing the .aia files into the new account work normally?

  4. Is there any account-specific information, settings, extensions, or other data that would be lost by doing this?

If this is a valid solution, I can make backups of all my projects before proceeding.

Thank you.

if you can export your aia from the legacy server and move to the new account if it is yours or try creating a new google account i am NOT from mit team members but dint delete the old account because the aia file may not probably downloaded or miss some blocks and you may have to upload assests again

Just be patient, MIT will look at the migration and run it again.

Backing up your projects any way is a sensible idea.

I have reset the migration system, so the next time you login it will attempt the migration again. Since your last attempt, we have fixed several bugs, so I am expecting the migration to work this time around.

Please let me know if it fails again, and I will look into it.

Thank you very much to everyone who helped and suggested possible solutions.

The migration has finally been reset, and my account has now migrated successfully to the new ai2a infrastructure.

I can access App Inventor normally and, most importantly, I can compile my APKs again.

I really appreciate everyone's help, suggestions, and patience in troubleshooting this issue.

Thank you all!

Hello,

I have exactly the same problem described in this topic.

My MIT App Inventor account is automatically redirected from:

to:

When I try to build an APK, I get:

"Build failed! Build server responded with response code 500."

I also tested this with a completely new and empty project, and I get the same HTTP 500 error.

My projects are visible in my account, but my account remains on the Legacy infrastructure.

Could you please check the migration status of my account and reset/restart the migration to the ai2a infrastructure?

I would like to keep all my existing projects and do not want to delete my account.

Thank you very much for your help.

Best regards,
Kostas

Your account failed to migrate because one of your projects is corrupted. I suspect it is a project that you deleted but that didn't get completely deleted.

In any event, I am working on fixing things. When I am done, I will set up your account to get migrated the next time you login.

Your account is migrated, and when you login, you should find yourself on ai2a.appinventor.mit.edu. In the event that you are still logged in from before, logout and login again.
